How can the verse, "And We made from water every living thing," be reconciled with the claim that fire is a living entity that is extinguished by water?

Scholars have differed in their interpretations of the meaning of Allah's (the Most High) saying: "And We made from water every living thing." Some have interpreted "living" as referring to mobile living creatures, while others have included plants and trees, citing Quranic verses as evidence. Ibn Hajar and Al-Baydawi indicated that water is the cause of life for everything, whether animal or plant, and that the majority of living beings were created from water, or their survival depends on it. Sayyid Qutb affirmed that the water descending from the sky is the main substance of life for all living beings, and that it is the source of life in all its forms. As for fire, it can be included among things whose origin was water, considering that fuels are extracted from it. A Muslim must be certain that Islam is the true religion, and strive to guide those who are astray and invite them to monotheism, not contenting themselves with merely defending their religion.
