Is it considered cheating for a student to ask his teacher to specify certain verses for a Quran examination, or to focus on what the teacher has specified?

The student should not ask about the location of the exam questions, and it is forbidden for the teacher to inform him of it, because it is considered cheating and a betrayal of trust. This is what Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen said: that the school is entrusted, and it is not permissible for it to indicate the locations of the questions, whether explicitly or implicitly. The teacher informing the student of the location of a question leads to the student cheating by not reviewing the entire curriculum, and focusing only on the indicated part. This is an injustice to other students who are unaware of this, and it contradicts the purpose of studying. This ruling applies to both a small and large portion of the curriculum. However, if specifying a part of the curriculum is with the administration's permission to lighten the load on students, then there is no harm in it. The student is advised to prepare for the exam by reviewing, striving, relying on Allah, and avoiding cheating and everything that leads to it.
