Are all black animals, such as black dogs or cats, considered jinn or devils?

Not every black animal is a devil. Rather, the hadith states: "The all-black dog is a devil." Scholars have interpreted this to mean that it is the devil among dogs, or that the devil takes its form, because blackness gathers diabolical forces. Some scholars have taken this to be a simile, meaning that the black dog is the most evil of dogs. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen preferred the view that the black dog is the devil among dogs, not a devil from among the jinn, and that the devil can be found among humans, jinn, and animals.
