Can righteous jinn take the form of a black cat?

The jinn have the ability to take on human and animal forms, and they may appear in the form of a black cat or other shapes. However, it is usually the devils (the rebellious jinn) who appear in the form of a black cat, not the righteous Muslim jinn; this is because blackness is generally associated with satanic forces. Not every black cat is a jinn or a devil. The original ruling regarding cats applies to all their colors, stating that they are not impure. Therefore, it cannot be definitively asserted that a specific cat is a jinn based on its color, even though the disbelieving jinn may take the form of a black cat, unlike the Muslim jinn, who are unlikely to appear in this form.
