Is what the tribe does, collecting 10 dinars from each head of household to support the deceased's family with 1000 dinars to cover the funeral expenses, considered an innovation (bid'ah)?

What the questioner mentioned about gathering and preparing food after burying the deceased is considered an innovation (bid'ah) and a prohibited form of wailing (niyaha), as narrated by Imam Ahmad from Jarir ibn Abdullah Al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "We used to consider gathering at the deceased's family and preparing food after his burial as a form of wailing." Therefore, it is not permissible to cooperate in such acts; rather, they must be abandoned, for Allah Almighty says: (And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.)
