Is it correct to say, "Ever since passion took Adam captive and he fell," after we know of Adam's repentance?

Ibn al-Jawzi's statement: "Beware of sins, for they humbled your father after the honor of 'prostrate,' and expelled him from the realms of 'dwell.' Ever since Adam was captivated by desire and fell, his sorrow persisted, and his wise children emerged sorrowful, and his enslaved offspring, humiliated," has a sound basis. This is that Adam's trial of being cast down to Earth, and his and his progeny's suffering, were due to his disobedience. And even though he repented and his repentance was accepted, the effect of the sin and its consequence of being cast down remained a trial and a wisdom from Allah.
