If the heirs are limited to the wife and children, then the wife receives one-eighth of the wealth, and the remainder is divided among the children, with the male receiving the share of two females, in accordance with His, the Almighty's, saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females" and His, the Almighty's, saying: "But if you have a child, then for them [wives] is one-eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may have] made or debt." So, if the deceased left 100,0 and a wife, 3 sons, and 3 daughters, the wife would take 12,500, each daughter would take 9,722.2, and each son would take 19,444.4.
