Does a divorce issued by the husband with the words "You are divorced" after an argument involving a threat of divorce take effect, knowing that this divorce occurred during a period of purity in which intercourse took place, and a pregnancy was discovered, and it was preceded by a previous divorce with the same wording and circumstances? And if it does take effect, is it considered the second or the third divorce?

The husband's statements to his wife, "We are finished," or "Your divorce papers will reach you within a week," do not constitute a divorce unless he intended it. However, his statement the following day, "You are divorced," is an actual divorce, and its occurrence is not prevented by the fact that she was in a state of purity during which he had intercourse with her. The presence of pregnancy does not alter the ruling, because it is a Sunnah divorce (talaq sunni). The divorce pronounced years ago is valid, making a total of two divorces.
