The answer

It is forbidden for a man to divorce his wife during a period of purity in which he has had intercourse with her, unless her pregnancy becomes apparent. However, the divorce does take effect. If he divorces her after her pregnancy has become apparent, there is no sin upon him, and the divorce takes effect. If he repeats the divorce while she is pregnant, a second divorce takes effect. In these two cases, he may take her back before she gives birth. However, after she gives birth, she does not become lawful for him except with a new marriage contract and a new dower. If he divorces her for the third time while she is pregnant, she becomes irrevocably separated from him (Baynunah Kubra) and does not become lawful for him until she marries another husband.
