Are the actions and clothing of some women, which may be inappropriate or provocative, considered normal in this era, or are they an indication of a Muslim woman's ignorance of her religion or her failure to apply it? And is she excused in light of temporal changes and fashion, or have concepts and values been overturned?

A Muslim woman is commanded to observe hijab, be modest, and avoid ostentation and immodesty. Disregarding these directives is a sign of heedlessness, especially if she lives in Muslim lands. Technology and changing times and places do not permit decadence and ill manners. If a woman, whether immodest or an unbeliever, maintains seriousness in her dealings with men, this is good. However, disbelief is greater than any other sin, and immodesty is a major sin. The lawful dress for women has its regulations. And being appalled by the behavior we see from many women is a sign of faith.
