If the divorce is revocable, there is no harm in the husband and his divorced wife residing in the same dwelling until the (waiting period) expires. The husband is permitted to reconsider his decision, and privacy with her is lawful for him, and she may adorn herself for him. However, if the divorce is irrevocable, the woman is a stranger to the man. If they are compelled to remain in the same dwelling, it is necessary for each of them to have a separate room and independent facilities, with a barrier that prevents privacy or the meeting of spouses, and on condition that there is no fear of temptation.
