Is translating foreign series and films that may contain objectionable scenes unlawful or lawful, knowing that this is my only field of work?

It is not permissible to work in translating films and TV series due to the assistance this provides to haram (unlawful acts). However, there is no objection to translating permissible materials such as news, scientific and cultural materials, books, and research that do not contain anything forbidden. As for working in the tourism sector, there is no harm in it if it is free from Shariah prohibitions. The statement that "one who spreads immorality is not immoral, and one who spreads disbelief is not a disbeliever" is incorrect, for spreading immorality and disbelief is a promotion of them and an invitation to them. And whoever calls to misguidance bears a burden of sins similar to those who follow him, according to the Almighty's saying: "That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection, and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear." And "whoever calls to misguidance will bear a burden of sin similar to the sins of those who follow him, without diminishing any of their sins." And one who calls to disbelief is a disbeliever, with severe disbelief.
