Does eating fallen food protect against poverty, and what is the evidence for that?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded the preservation of food and showing gratitude for its blessings. He said: "If a morsel of one of you falls, let him remove any harm from it and eat it, and not leave it for Satan... for you do not know in which part of your food the blessing lies."

There is no explicit text stating that eating a fallen morsel protects from poverty. However, it indicates the preservation of blessings. Allah commanded gratitude for blessings after eating from sustenance: "Eat from the provision of your Lord and be grateful to Him."

Some scholars have held the view that it is obligatory to eat fallen food unless it has been contaminated by impurity or harm.
