What are a Muslim's rights over his Muslim brother after his death?

Among the rights of a Muslim upon his brother after death is the respect of his body and honor. It is not permissible to assault any part of him, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Breaking the bone of a dead person is like breaking it when he was alive." Among his rights are to be washed and prepared, to have the funeral prayer performed over him, to be prayed for, to be buried, and for his grave to be respected by not digging it up or sitting on it. Also, his physical and moral shortcomings should be concealed, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever conceals [the faults of] a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter."
