How is the inheritance calculated for the deceased's female heirs: two daughters and a wife?

If the deceased's heirs are limited to a wife and two daughters, the distribution of the inheritance is as follows:

The wife: She receives one-eighth (1/8) as her prescribed share due to the presence of a lineal descendant, based on the Almighty's saying: "But if you have a child, then for them is one-eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may have] made or debt." The two daughters: They receive two-thirds (2/3) as their prescribed share due to their plurality and the absence of a male sibling (who would make them 'asabat), based on the Almighty's saying: "then for them is two-thirds of what he left."

The remainder after the wife's share is then returned to the two daughters if there are no other 'asabat (residuary heirs) with them.

The inheritance is divided into twenty-four (24) shares; the wife receives three (3) shares (one-eighth), and twenty-one (21) shares remain for the two daughters as their prescribed share and by way of return.

It is advisable to refer inheritance matters to Sharia courts for investigation and to ensure that there are no other heirs, bequests, or debts.
