Why do disturbing dreams and sleep paralysis still occur to a Muslim despite his recitation of Ayatul Kursi, and if miracles happen in all religions, what makes Islam distinct and true?

It is established in an authentic hadith that Ayat al-Kursi (the Verse of the Throne) protects its reciter from Satan until morning. The answering of supplications and ruqyah (incantations) can be affected by several factors. It might not be effective due to the weakness of the supplicant, or the presence of an impediment to its answering, such as consuming unlawful earnings.

Regarding ruqyah in other religions, it might be: 1. A supplication that contains no transgression, coupled with the supplicant's dire need. Allah answers the call of the distressed, whether they are believers or disbelievers. 2. Seeking help from devils, which is a form of magic and polytheism (shirk). 3. A psychological effect similar to the placebo effect.

Legitimate ruqyah is not the only proof of the truth of Islam; rather, it is a part of it. There are many other varied proofs such as the evidence of fitra (innate disposition), rational proofs, miracles, signs of prophethood, and the Holy Quran.
