Is it permissible for a woman observing the 'iddah (waiting period) after the death of her husband to stay overnight in one of her daughters' homes due to the absence of a companion for her in her own home, and can she remain there until the end of the 'iddah?

If a woman observing iddah moves from the house of iddah for her safety, she must return to it. If she is unable to stay alone in her house, or if she does not feel safe regarding herself or her property, she may move to the nearest safe place to observe her iddah there.
