Is it permissible for a husband to support himself on one hand during prostration in prayer, knowing that his other hand is sound, and is this considered a violation of the prophetic manner of prayer?

If a prostrator places only one hand on the ground, his action violates the Sunnah and disrupts the required posture of prayer. This is because placing both hands on the ground during prostration is a Sunnah, and even obligatory according to some scholars. However, this does not affect the validity of the prayer, based on the view that prostrating on the seven limbs other than the forehead is a Sunnah and not obligatory. As for the view that prostrating on the seven limbs is obligatory, the prayer of one who deliberately omits prostrating on them is not valid.
