Do not hesitate to marry someone whose religiosity and character you are pleased with, after consulting your family, seeking guidance from Allah through Istikhara, and taking the necessary steps for treatment with legitimate Ruqyah (definition). There is no objection to seeking help from those who treat magic through permissible means, while observing the Sharia (definition) guidelines and being wary of charlatans. The most important elements of treatment are reliance on Allah, consistent recitation of remembrance (Adhkar), fervent supplication (Du'a), having a good opinion of Him, and believing that both benefit and harm are in Allah's hands, and that all His decrees are wisdom and mercy. Abandoning prayer is a grave evil from which one must repent, and maintaining it is the path to healing.
