Do the prescribed dhikr and awrad necessitate the intention before commencing them?

Acts of worship that are distinct in their form for Allah the Almighty, their doer is rewarded for them even if he did not intend by them to draw closer to Allah. Examples of these include: faith (Iman), reliance (Tawakkul), glorification (Tasbih), reciting the Quran, and the call to prayer (Adhan).
