Is it permissible to divorce one's wife in the presence of family problems and the husband's aversion to her, knowing that consummation has not yet occurred?

We recommend asking Allah to mend the situation and reconcile hearts, and for the wise to intervene to arbitrate between the family, reminding them of kinship ties. Reconciling people is among the best acts of drawing near to Allah. Preferring the wife's mother in giving, by buying an apartment without the sisters' consent, is not permissible. The wife has the right to refuse living with the husband's family unless there is an independent dwelling with its own facilities, which the husband must provide. Divorce is disliked when there is no need for it. Do not hasten to it if the wife is religious; rather, strive to seek ways of reconciliation, and increase in supplication and asking Allah for success.
