Divorce is permissible in principle, but it may be disliked (), forbidden (), or obligatory ().
We advise holding onto the wife and being patient with her, especially since there are daughters who need both their parents for upbringing and care.
If the wife is causing problems with the family, she must stop doing so. The husband should remind her of the seriousness of her actions, and a wise woman can be sought to advise her.
It is advisable to overlook some matters unless they become aggravated. The spouses can seek the help of righteous individuals for reconciliation and to bridge differing viewpoints.
The husband is not required to do everything for his wife's family, but honoring her family, as long as it does not harm him, is part of good companionship.
The husband must advise his wife and guide her as much as possible, and not separate from her in order to preserve the family. If maintaining the companionship becomes impossible, then there is no harm in divorce at that point.
