Is it obligatory to learn the meanings of Allah's Names?

It is not obligatory to learn a specific number of the Beautiful Names of Allah. Rather, what is obligatory is to know what achieves the knowledge of Allah, which is an individual obligation (fard ayn) upon every Muslim. Anything beyond that is not a specific obligation. This includes what a Muslim cannot be ignorant of, such as the Oneness of Allah (Tawhid) and His essential attributes. The Names of Allah are not restricted to a specific number, according to the more preponderant opinion.
