How can a person achieve their great ambitions and contribute to the benefit of their country, while overcoming the whispers of Satan in the absence of a guide?

A Muslim should have high aspirations in seeking lofty matters, be diligent in work and achievement, seek Allah's help, and avoid helplessness, blame, and regret. Islam encourages Muslims to develop the earth, reform society, and benefit other Muslims, provided that their work is intended for the sake of Allah, and that they adhere to His commands and avoid His prohibitions, and associate with the righteous; so that they may be safe from Satan and his whispers, for "whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer."
