Is the permanent removal of unwanted body hair, while avoiding forbidden areas, considered altering God's creation?

Removing unwanted hair that is not explicitly addressed by Islamic law—such as hair on the chest, arms, and legs—falls under the category of ambiguous matters (mutashabihat). The general principle regarding altering Allah's creation is prohibition; however, this can be considered among the matters left unaddressed. If the aforementioned hair in a woman is disfiguring to her appearance, then there is no harm in her removing it by any means that does not harm her body, because a woman needs adornment. As for a man, it is not permissible for him to remove it permanently, due to the resemblance to women that it entails.
