How can one make up the missed Maghrib prayer due to shopping, and is it permissible to perform it after the 'Asr prayer to avoid its time expiring?

Prayers must be observed at their appointed times, for intentionally allowing a prayer to lapse beyond its time is among the grave sins, based on the Almighty's saying: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a timed ordinance," and His saying: "So woe to those who pray, [but] who are heedless of their prayer." The interpretation of heedlessness here is to squander the time or delay it beyond its appointed time.

Going to the market is not an excuse for allowing the prayer to lapse beyond its time. Rather, one must seek a place to pray or go at a time when the prayer will not be missed. If a prayer is delayed beyond its time, it must be made up, as it is a debt owed.

Performing the Maghrib prayer before its time is not permissible by the consensus of Muslims, as its time begins with sunset. It is not permissible to delay it except for a valid excuse that allows for combining it with the Isha prayer by delaying it (jama' ta'khir).
