Is it permissible to give an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) on behalf of a living person who has been emotionally and financially wronged, without their knowledge?

For repentance from sins related to injustice against people (concerning their money, honor, or body), it is a condition to seek their absolution, based on the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Whoever has wronged his brother concerning his honor or anything else, let him seek his absolution today, before there are no dinars or dirhams."

If the rights are financial, it is obligatory to return them or seek forgiveness. As for non-material injustices like backbiting, scholars have differed on how to seek absolution for them. Giving charity on behalf of the wronged person is permissible, and the wronged person will be rewarded for it, but it does not take the place of seeking absolution for the injustices.
