Is working as an accountant in a telecommunications and electronics company – which sells and exports its products to other countries, with export restrictions to some Arab countries – permissible or forbidden?

If the company's activity is permissible and your work field within it is lawful, then there is no harm upon you in working and earning, and no sin will befall you if the company commits something forbidden, as long as you do not directly engage in it or assist in it. It appears that the questioner is afflicted with waswasah (obsessive whispering), and the cure for waswasah is to completely ignore it. Whoever pays attention to it will find it increasing until it drives them to the brink of madness. It comes from Satan, who wishes to cast the believer into error, confusion, and a miserable life, as Allah Almighty said: "Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy." The cure for waswasah is for the Muslim to believe that it is a satanic thought and to fight against it, thereby earning the reward of jihad.
