The suitor is not obligated to inform his fiancée or her guardian that he intends to marry again, a third, or a fourth time. This is because Allah has permitted polygyny and has not stipulated that the wife must be aware of it. Allah Almighty says: "Marry such women as seem good to you, two, three, or four; but if you fear that you will not be able to deal justly with them, then marry only one."
