Is it permissible for a university student to shorten or combine prayers daily at the university if it is 80 kilometers away, and he spends long hours there, and it is difficult for him to perform and maintain ablution?

Shortening the four-rak'ah prayer during travel is desirable. It is stipulated by the majority of scholars that the distance between the two ends of the towns must be 83 kilometers or more (four burud). If the distance is covered within the town or partially within it, then this is not considered travel that permits shortening the prayer. If this condition is not met, you are not allowed to shorten or combine prayers unless there is another reason. You must then pray each prayer at its appointed time and perform ablution if you are not already in a state of purity. If you do not find water, then perform tayammum and pray.
