What is the ruling on disconnecting medical equipment from a two-month-old infant suffering from immunodeficiency, whose condition is hopeless, or must it be kept on?

Life is a blessing from Allah, and it is not permissible to cause the loss of a respectable soul. As long as the child is on medical equipment that helps him live, and his family is able to continue with that, it is not permissible by Sharia to remove these devices from him. Rather, it is obligatory to preserve his life as much as possible. Allah is capable of healing the child, and a disease that has no cure today, Allah may facilitate the knowledge of its cure tomorrow. "For every disease there is a cure, and if the cure for the disease is found, it will be healed by the permission of Allah." Increase in supplication for the child, seek forgiveness, and ask for the prayers of the righteous.
