What is the ruling on fluid coming out in drops upon waking without desire?

There is no obligatory ghusl (ritual bath) for discharge without desire, except that the Shafi'is hold ghusl to be obligatory for semen whether it is discharged with or without desire. If the discharge is not semen, then ghusl is not obligatory, all the more so. However, in any case, it nullifies ablution (wudu'). It is recommended to wash whatever of it has touched the body and clothes if it is semen, and obligatory if it is not semen.
