Is the part of the head where hair growth is less than other areas considered qaza‘ (patchy hair), and is prayer permissible in this state?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Qaza' is shaving part of the head and leaving part of it. It is disliked (makruh) in a way that is 'makruh tanzih' (disliked but not sinful). The prayer of a person who has qaza' is valid, and there is no sin upon him, even though he has committed something disliked. For what is disliked (makruh) is requested to be left not in an obligatory or binding manner. The one who abandons it is rewarded, and the one who commits it is not punished. The whisperings of Satan regarding this matter must be ignored.
