Is marriage a destiny predetermined by God, and can someone who was rejected as a suitor be the very person God destined for her to marry?

All matters are in the hands of Allah. There is no阻碍 to what He gives, nor a giver of what He withholds. Everything is by divine decree and wisdom, managed by Allah. Belief in divine decree, both its good and its bad, is a great fundamental principle of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (the People of the Sunnah and the Community). A suitor might be rejected at first and then accepted later, and all of that is preordained from eternity. Allah's decree is of two types: an irreversible decree (eternal and unchangeable), and a contingent decree (in the scrolls of the angels) that can change through supplication (du'a) and charity (sadaqa). This is what Allah's Almighty saying refers to: {Allah abolishes what He wills and confirms [what He wills], and with Him is the Mother of the Book} (Quran 13:39), and the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Nothing averts divine decree except supplication."
