Will I be sinful if I marry a girl approved by the Sharia but disapproved by my parents, and must I consider society's view regarding my religiously permissible marriage?

A Muslim must choose a wife who is religious and of good character, because she is trustworthy with herself, her husband, and his wealth. This is contrary to what many people do, prioritizing beauty and lineage over religiosity. If a young man chooses a girl for her religiosity and good character, then the bad character or corruption of her father does not harm her, as Allah Almighty says: "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." If the father agrees to this marriage, then the marriage should proceed. If he insists on refusing, then it is not permissible to marry her, and he should look for someone else, for whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. As for observing societal norms, it is not permissible to go along with people in forbidden matters, because there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. However, if there is no disobedience in the matter, then it is not appropriate to go against them.
