What is the ruling on one who kissed his wife during the daytime in Ramadan and took pleasure in it, and kissed other parts of her body and licked her breast, and she licked his penis, without either of them ejaculating, except for some pre-seminal fluid from him only? Does this invalidate the fast, requiring him to make up the day and offer expiation, or is there nothing upon him?

Kissing and direct physical contact are permissible for a fasting person, but it is better to avoid them. They become forbidden if the fasting person cannot control himself from intercourse or the emission of semen. The fast is only invalidated by the emission of semen. As for the emission of madhy (pre-seminal fluid), it does not break the fast, according to the preponderant opinion of the scholars.
