What is the ruling on reciting Surat An-Naml to get rid of biting ants?

It has not been reported in the Sunnah or from the Salaf that reading Surat An-Naml is recommended for getting rid of ants. This is considered an innovated act and a utilization of the Qur'an for something other than what it was revealed for. Designating the reading of a verse or a surah for a specific need without evidence is considered an innovation.
