Does a husband's divorce of his wife, while he is angry and at her insistence and coercion, count as a divorce, especially if he did not intend to divorce her and she now regrets it?

Divorce pronounced in a state of anger does not take effect if that anger causes a person to lose their awareness and perception, or if it is so severe as to compel a divorce, even if the husband did not intend it in a calm state. This is the preponderant opinion. As for a woman asking for divorce without a legitimate reason, it is forbidden. If she does so out of intense anger, she must seek forgiveness and repent.
