What is the ruling regarding a newborn for whom the 'Aqiqah was not slaughtered despite the parents' ability, but due to their superstition that the slaughtering would manifest in the newborn, based on certain beliefs?

The 'Aqiqah is a confirmed Sunnah, and some say it is obligatory. It has tremendous benefits for the newborn and their parents. Imam Ahmad interpreted the Hadith "The child is mortgaged by his 'Aqiqah" to mean that the child will not intercede for his parents if an 'Aqiqah was not performed for him and he died young. Therefore, it should not be abandoned by one who is able to perform it, and it does not become invalidated by delay. As for abandoning it due to pessimism, this is impermissible, as the Lawgiver has forbidden pessimism, and it contradicts belief in divine decree.
