Is a husband divorcing his pregnant wife in Ramadan, due to a past of hers and her meeting her old boyfriend after marriage, and under parental pressure, a sound and acceptable action in the sight of Allah, and what will be the situation and future of the fetus?

- The divorce of a pregnant woman is valid by the consensus of the scholars.

- One must verify the authenticity of reports before proceeding with divorce, for Allah Almighty says: (If a wicked person comes to you with any news, verify it).

- It is not permissible to taunt a wife about her past if she has repented, for the one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin.

- Obedience to parents is in what is good and right, and demanding the divorce of one's wife without fault is not among what is good and right.

- The child belongs to the bed and follows the husband, and he should not open the door to misgivings for himself.

- If the wife is still pregnant and the husband divorces her with a first or second revocable divorce, he may take her back.

- If she has given birth to her child and it was a first or second revocable divorce, he may marry her again with a new contract.
