What is the ruling on a husband divorcing his wife during her different months of pregnancy, then taking her back after each divorce?

Divorcing a pregnant woman is valid and effective, and her waiting period (iddah) extends until she gives birth. The husband has the right to take her back (raj'ah) while she is pregnant. If he divorces her a second or third time while she is pregnant, the divorce is valid, and with the third divorce, she becomes irrevocably separated from him. The statement by some people that divorcing a pregnant woman is not valid has no basis. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) clarified that a man has a greater right to take back a pregnant woman if he divorced her once or twice, as long as she has not given birth. Sheikh Ibn Baz stated that divorcing a pregnant woman is permissible, citing the Prophet's (peace be upon him) narration to Abdullah ibn Umar. Likewise, Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen affirmed the validity of divorcing a pregnant woman, considering it one of the most firmly established forms of divorce.
