Is wind pure or impure, and what is the evidence for that? And do wet undergarments become impure if wind is emitted? And is smelling the hand placed over the exit of wind considered smelling impurity? And if human blood not exiting from the two passages is pure, then why is it not permissible to write the Qur’an with it? And what is the ruling if a color is added to it to change its color? And what prevents writing the Qur’an with it if it is pure? And what is the ruling on one who issues a fatwa to that effect?

The wind that exits a person (flatulence or breaking wind) is not impure according to the principle of purity and the absence of any evidence to suggest its impurity. Therefore, if the wind comes into contact with clothes or the body, it does not render them impure. As for blood exiting a human, the majority of scholars consider it impure based on the general meaning of Allah's saying: "or spilled blood or pork – for indeed, that is impurity." Consequently, it is not permissible to write the Quran with blood, and doing so is considered a major sin that could even amount to disbelief.
