What is the ruling on flatulence when the Holy Quran is in the same room?

The Qur'an must be respected and preserved. However, passing wind in a room where a copy of the Qur'an is present is permissible, and we do not know of any scholar who has prohibited it. Some scholars have pointed out that among the etiquettes of reciting the Qur'an is to refrain from reading during the emission of wind, but this is not obligatory. Passing wind during the recitation of the Qur'an is neither forbidden nor considered a desecration.
