Is it obligatory for a person to avoid expelling wind near religious books that contain Quranic verses or interpretations, out of reverence and respect for them?

Respecting religious books that contain Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions is obligatory, by placing them in a special and respectful place. However, it is not necessary for them to be absent from a house or room where people reside, due to the hardship and difficulty that would entail, which is negated by the religion. It has been the custom of scholars and the Salaf to keep their books beside them in their residences, and no one ever objected to them for that.
