Is it permissible for daughters to take money from their father without his knowledge to purchase women's necessities, such as creams and the like, in the event of his stinginess and not giving them enough?

It is not permissible for children to take anything from their father's money without his permission, even if he is well-off. If they do so without his knowledge, it is a prohibited theft. However, if the father is stingy with the obligatory expenditure (nafaqah), then they may take what suffices them in a reasonable manner, based on the hadith of Hind bint Utbah. As for what is taken for luxuries, it is not permissible to take it without the father's knowledge. The father must be just among his children in giving gifts, and it is not permissible for him to favor sons over daughters, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "Fear Allah and be just among your children," and "Be equitable among your children in giving gifts."
