Is the punishment for sin doubled in Ramadan?

Good deeds are multiplied and their reward is increased in revered times and places, such as Ramadan and Mecca. Similarly, sins are multiplied and their burden and punishment are increased in virtuous days and places, according to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying about Ramadan: "O seeker of good, come forth! And O seeker of evil, desist! And Allah has those whom He frees from the Fire, and that is every night."
