Is it permissible to use the monthly assistance provided to orphans to purchase an automatic washing machine to help their aunt and grandfather in their care, given that the grandfather's economic situation does not allow for its purchase?

Guardianship over a minor's money belongs first to his father, then to his grandfather, then to their appointed guardian, then to the judge or his appointee. If this is not possible, then it is incumbent upon the Muslims to look into his condition and undertake the preservation of his money. The matter must be brought before a judge for him to manage the money or appoint someone to do so. No one is permitted to dispose of their money except after referring the matter to the judge. If this is difficult or if the money is feared to be at risk from the judge, then righteous and good people may entrust the disposal of the money to a trustworthy and acceptable person. The disposer should not take from the money for himself but should be given a wage. The mentioned washing machine should not be used for anything other than washing the children's clothes. Upon their reaching maturity and rationality, their money must be handed over to them, as Allah Almighty says: "And if you perceive in them sound judgment, then hand over to them their property." At that time, there is no objection if they permit their grandfather and their maternal aunt to wash and do other things.
