Is it permissible to work as a website designer in a company that designs a telephone directory containing numbers of usurious institutions, companies that sell alcoholic beverages, nightclubs, discos, cinemas, theaters, and musical instruments, knowing that the majority of the numbers are not suspicious, and that the manager cannot delete the suspicious numbers to avoid termination of the contract?

It is not permissible to design a website that includes numbers for usurious institutions and banks, alcohol companies, and places of vice; because that entails assisting in wrongdoing. Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, you will not abandon anything for the sake of fearing Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, except that Allah will give you something better than it."
