Does verse 57 from Surat Al-Qasas, "And they said, 'If we were to follow the guidance - '" apply to our reality today?

The meaning of the noble verse is that the polytheists of Quraish said that if they were to follow the guidance, they would be abducted from their land. Allah responded to them by making for them a secure sanctuary, to which the fruits of everything are brought as a provision from Him, but most of them do not know.

As for its applicability, adherence to faith is the greatest cause for attaining security. Allah grants security to those who adhere to guidance in this era, just as He secured the Companions when they acted upon Allah's religion and strived in His path.
