Is it permissible to pray in the area of the restrooms after it has been incorporated into the mosque and expanded?

A place that used to have restrooms, if it is demolished and purified, prayers performed therein are valid. If it is then joined to the mosque, it becomes part of it and acquires the same rulings as the mosque.
